Content Review
Directions:
Respond to each item. Each response should be concise and between 2–3 paragraphs in length.
Use MS Word to write your responses, and submit your answers to all three questions in one Word document.
Copy and paste each question within the document, so that your instructor can see which question you are responding to.

Socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and gender are three important dimensions of identity. Explain how each of these dimensions might impact children's learning from either a child's or an adult's perspective.

Instances of bias and discrimination based on sex and gender exist in all realms of society. Provide one or more examples of each of the following as they pertain to learning environments and education: gender-role stereotyping, gender bias in the curriculum, and sex discrimination. How might caring and knowledgeable adults prevent each from being a part of learning environments?

This week you have been considering the ways in which developing a sense of community in learning settings impacts children's growth and ability to learn. Based on the theories and strategies of Johnson and Johnson, explain the relationship between learning environments that have a sense of community and children's ability to grow and learn.

South Korea

Project Description: The session long project (SLP) consists of an investigation of a country: it can be either an industrialized country (other than the United States), or an advanced developing country (like China); please do not choose a developing country (like Iraq). The relationship between the country's health and demographics will be addressed.
SLP #2: Investigate your selected country with respect to the health of its population:
1. Discuss the major health issues in your country? The country I selected is South Korea.
2. Identify which health issues disproportionately effect certain groups based on their demographics (e.g. gender, race, age, employment status, location).

Assignment should be approximately 2-3 pages in length (double-spaced).

Please use major sections corresponding to the major points of the assignment, and where appropriate use sub-sections (with headings).
