Overview
Review Matthew Shank’s Sports Marketing: A Strategic Perspective Ch. 1, pgs. 27-28 (Sports Marketing Mix). Read the attached article and draft a two page, double spaced paper addressing each element of the marketing mix (product, pricing, promotion, and placement). The paper should contain a paragraph on each element. Within each paragraph, define the marketing mix element, describe how Nike has addressed it, and provide a thoughtful analysis on how you would have adhered to or deviated from Nike’s strategy.
Grading Criteria
The paper is worth a total of 100 pts. Papers will be graded on the students’ knowledge of the marketing mix, application to the contents of the article, and analysis of the same.
