Essay questions:
During the time of Samuel, why did the people of Israel desire a king?

Why was Saul chosen, and, ultimately, why was he rejected?

What attribute did David display that made him a better King than Saul?

What sin did Solomon commit that ultimately led to the division of Israel after his death?

The Essay is to be done answering the following questions. These question are to be answered, and the essay is to be written utilizing ONLY the bible, and the textbook "The Essence of the Old testament: A survey By Ed Hindson, and Gary Yates. 


When citing the book please use footnotes throughout the paper only. The essay should be double spaced, 12 point font, Times New Roman. The Essay should be 750-1000 words. Again, the essay is to be written and relied upon the Bible, and The Essence of the Old Testament textbook ONLY. DO NOT FOOTNOTE SCRIPTURES REFERENCES, but cite them parenthetically within the body of the essay following quotation or allusion to the biblical text. The essay's format should be APA format, and footnotes throughout.
